The team played against Harvard University last Wednesday, losing against the 2nd best team in the nation. Regardless, it was a great experience to play and learn from some of the best collegiate squash players in the nation. The men lost 9-0, as expected in a friendly against the superior opponents. For many team members it was a match on another level compared to MIT and the chance to have played against such opponents for the first two matches of the season have given them a concrete idea of how to improve for the upcoming season.
Freshman Mark Anthony Williams managed to cause problems for his opponents with some accurate hitting, while senior Kalil Menezes showed incredible grit on court, chasing down every shot. Overall it was a great learning experience for the team that will only strengthen us for the upcoming matches.
