On Saturday January 14th, The Northeastern men’s and women’s squash teams traveled to MIT to play Haverford College in Northeastern’s first match of the semester.   Going in to the match, the Huskies knew it was going to be tough, as the Haverford women’s team is ranked number 30 in the country, and has beaten Northeastern in all past encounters.   Despite being the underdog, the Northeastern Women’s team swept Haverford 9-0, only dropping 3 games total across all of the matches. All of the girls played confident, smart squash and it paid off in the end.  The upset victory was an extremely strong start to the second half of the season and a testament to all of the hard work that head coach, Chris Santoro, and the team are putting in to improving their games.

Come support the women’s team Wednesday January 18th, at 7:30 pm at Squashbusters as they take on Boston College!
